We are called to be father the fatherless
Our Mission
At Field & Faith, our mission is to break the cycle of fatherlessness through mentorship and outdoor experiences. We guide young men to become servant-hearted leaders in their families and communities by using the power of nature and biblical principles of stewardship. Through hands-on experiences, we instill values of integrity, personal responsibility, and community care—equipping them to thrive and make a lasting impact.
Our Vision and Approach
We envision a brotherhood of men forged by faith, healed through mentorship, and strengthened by shared experiences. When one man is restored, his transformation ripples outward—to his family, his community, and the next generation. We believe real change starts with connection, and through that connection, we cultivate godly leadership that multiplies.
Inspired by Genesis 1:26, we teach young men to love the outdoors and become stewards of the world around them—caring for creation, their communities, and their future families.
Building Confidence Through Outdoor Education
One of the greatest challenges facing young men today is a lack of confidence and resilience. Many have never been taught how to push through difficulty, overcome fear, or believe in themselves. At Field & Faith, we’ve found that outdoor experiences are one of the most powerful tools to change that.
Through camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and wilderness survival, we place young men in environments that challenge them physically, mentally, and spiritually. These hands-on experiences strip away distractions, build confidence, and force them to rely on problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance. More than just learning a skill—they learn who they are and what they’re capable of. We don’t just teach outdoor education—we use it to build grit, humility, and godly strength.
Impact and Partnerships
We've seen firsthand the transformation that happens when a young man is truly seen, supported, and equipped. Our impact grows through powerful partnerships—with individuals, churches, and organizations who share our mission. Together, we are raising up a generation of strong, faithful men.
What it cost to change a life
At Field & Faith, it's vital for us to ensure that young men receive the necessary equipment and training for a genuine experience. To make this possible, it typically costs us around $5000 to support one young man through our program. This funding covers various aspects, including providing clothing, equipment, bibles, outdoor gear, meals, mentorship from trained professionals, travel expenses and counseling services.

Founders Story
Growing up without a father is something I understand very well. My dad passed away when I was just 8, and my parents had divorced when I was 3, so the time I spent with him before he died was short. Even when he was around, there was a lot of trauma with he time spent with him. I can still remember the panic of seeing him go into insulin shock, with my grandmother and me trying to bring him back. There were also moments when he had heart attacks right in front of me. Losing him, and dealing with those moments, made me realize early on what it means to grow up without a father, and I quickly became aware of how difficult that road can be.
That loss didn’t just affect me—it defined me. I struggled in school, and forming relationships felt impossible. By the time I reached high school, I was desperate for approval and acceptance, and I looked for it wherever I could. That desperation led me into depression and substance abuse. By my sophomore year, I hit such a low point that I attempted to take my own life. At the time, I couldn’t see it, but God had a plan for me, and He saved me. Even though I continued down a self-destructive path for a few more years and eventually ended up in legal trouble and jail, that’s when I finally started to recognize God’s work in my life.
Looking back now, I see how losing my dad left me feeling lost, trying to figure out how to become a man without his guidance. Learning how to be a good father, husband, brother, and friend felt overwhelming, like I was stumbling in the dark. But as I started to get clarity, I realized I wasn’t alone. There are countless men out there, just like me, struggling to navigate life without the direction they need.
