We are called to be father the fatherless
Our Mission
Our mission is to break the cycle of fatherlessness through mentorship and outdoor activities, guiding young men to become leaders in their families and communities. We use the power of nature and the principles of stewardship to instill values of integrity, community care, and personal growth. Our vision is to forge a community where every young man has the guidance, support, and skills to thrive and make a positive impact in the world.
Our Vision and Approach
Our vision is to forge a brotherhood of men who stand together, supporting each other through life’s challenges and growing into leaders. We believe that when one man heals and thrives, he multiplies his impact—on his family, his community, and the next generation. Together, we aim to create a ripple effect of hope, strength, and godly leadership that transforms lives and breaks the cycle of fatherlessness
At Field & Faith, we aim to encourage a love for the outdoors, following the principles from Genesis 1:26. Our goal is to involve young men in outdoor activities that help them grow and teach them what it means to be a steward of the world we live in, their communities and their families.
Education Through Outdoor Activities
Our program is comprehensive, teaching various outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and camping. We go beyond just skills; we provide hands-on experiences that also highlight the importance of conservation.
Supporting Fatherless Young Men in Foster Care
Field & Faith concentrates on helping fatherless young men and teens in foster care. We offer a caring environment, guiding and mentoring them to navigate life's hurdles. Understanding their unique challenges, we equip them with the tools needed for success.
Positive Impact and Partnerships
Field & Faith takes pride in the progress we've seen in the lives of these young men. We're dedicated to collaborating with like-minded individuals and community organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of the next generation.
At Field & Faith, it's vital for us to ensure that young men receive the necessary equipment and training for a genuine experience. To make this possible, it typically costs us around $1000 to support one young man through our program. This funding covers various aspects, including providing clothing, equipment, bibles, outdoor gear, meals, mentorship from trained professionals, travel expenses and counseling.
Founders Story
Growing up without a father is something I understand very well. My dad passed away when I was just 8, and my parents had divorced when I was 3, so the time I spent with him before he died was short. Even when he was around, there was a lot of trauma with he time spent with him. I can still remember the panic of seeing him go into insulin shock, with my grandmother and me trying to bring him back. There were also moments when he had heart attacks right in front of me. Losing him, and dealing with those moments, made me realize early on what it means to grow up without a father, and I quickly became aware of how difficult that road can be.
That loss didn’t just affect me—it defined me. I struggled in school, and forming relationships felt impossible. By the time I reached high school, I was desperate for approval and acceptance, and I looked for it wherever I could. That desperation led me into depression and substance abuse. By my sophomore year, I hit such a low point that I attempted to take my own life. At the time, I couldn’t see it, but God had a plan for me, and He saved me. Even though I continued down a self-destructive path for a few more years and eventually ended up in legal trouble and jail, that’s when I finally started to recognize God’s work in my life.
Looking back now, I see how losing my dad left me feeling lost, trying to figure out how to become a man without his guidance. Learning how to be a good father, husband, brother, and friend felt overwhelming, like I was stumbling in the dark. But as I started to get clarity, I realized I wasn’t alone. There are countless men out there, just like me, struggling to navigate life without the direction they need.
